Here at Firefly we provide contemporary family portraiture in a relaxed and friendly environment. We are situated in the heart of Derby's Cathederal Quater, surrounded by the best shopping and dining the city has to offer. The studio area, viewing suite and make over rooms are spread over three stories, creating a warm and homely feel.
Our Studio
The Firefly studio itself is one of a kind. The unique infinity room is designed to provide the ideal environment to create modern contemporary portraiture. The seamless room allows us the freedom to photograph a range of subjects from big groups to small children. We use modern digital equipment as well as both new and traditional techniques. Whether you want black & white or colour, formal or fun the Firefly studio is designed to bring out the best in everyone and give you pictures you’ll love.
Your Photographic Session 
Here at Firefly, we aim to make your time with us as relaxed and as stress free as possible. Having booked your appointment we advise that you spend some time thinking about the type of look you want in your images whether you're after something formal, casual or just plain fun.
Upon your arrival You will be greeted by our friendly reception staff who will take you through to the lounge area where you will meet your photographer. Here you can discuss your sitting and the type of images you are looking for. This time also helps any younger children get used to both their photographer and surroundings and prepare them for their photo session. You will then be taken to the studio. This is where the fun begins! We recommend that you bring in any toys or props that you want in your pictures. Whether it’s musical instruments, sports equipment, or a favourite teddy, the more original the better. Remember it’s your session so enjoy it.
Viewing Your Pictures
Thanks to the wonderful world of digital technology you are able to view your images on the same day as your session. Not only does this save you the hassle of booking back in to view your images, but it means we can get them printed and ready for you to collect much sooner. For those of you who are looking to print your own images, you are able to take a CD of your shoot away with you on the day.
